Managing Households
Viewing Family Information
- Household addresses are now mapped using OpenStreetMap whenever a valid address is entered or updated on the Person/Edit screen.
- Household member Person pages can be visited by clicking the Go To Member link.

- Clicking on a household member in the Household Member list opens a dialog with their stored information.

- You can modify or change this information, as needed.
Adding New Houshold Members
- Codect provides a streamlined system for adding new household members either from scratch, or by choosing an existing record from the database.
- Click the Add Family Member button to get started.
- When first clicking the Add Family Member button, a list of potential household members will show. These are records related through databases outside of the Codect Case Management system, but existing within the data warehouse.

- Clicking Add New Family Member will open a dialog similar to the editing screen that we saw above.
- Clicking Search Family Member will open a search screen that will allow you to find individuals in both the case management system and the data warehouse.

- Searches will display individuals matching the provided search terms.

- Clicking on a person in the list will add them to the household and will create a record in the Codect case management system (denoted by a green band) if only a data warehouse record existed previously.
- The list will include matched records as well as a list of potential household members from the Codect data warehouse. These are records related through databases outside of the Codect Case Management system, but existing within the data warehouse.
- Our suggestion is to always search before adding new records.
- Also, it's often best to use as few search terms as possible initially (e.g., last name or first name, rather than last name, first name, DOB).
